Stock Market Music
Using a five-note scale spanning three octaves, pitch is determined by the daily closing numbers of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. The variance in volume mirrors the trading volume changes throughout the year. The notes are clustered in series of five, representing Mondays through Fridays. The weeks are punctuated, separated, and started by drum hits. Follow along with the graph to experience the market in a (somewhat) musical way.

Ever have a night and not know if you slept?
I know I was up late working on my latest project. Jamie was working late on Christmas. We turned the lights out around 1:30 AM. We kept talking for a while. “Why aren’t we asleep?” It was about 2:30 when we stopped talking and Jamie seemed to drift off to sleep. I tossed and turned for a while. It kind of doesn’t seem like it but I think I might have been asleep when Asher quietly walked into our room at 4:30. I walked him back to bed and stayed with him for a while. I went back to bed and at around 5:30 I got up and started working on photos. Mostly Jeff & Heather’s wedding. I heard Asher at 5:30 and later. He’s now snuggled up in my lap as I type this. How can our house be so sleepless?

Sinusitis
Tuesday night I noticed a pain just above my left eye. By Wednesday my forehead hurt, especially around my eyes and especially when I moved my head. Ouch. It hurts a little just to remember.
Thursday things didn’t change much, I rested in the morning but had “one” thing to do in the afternoon. That one thing turned into several and 6 hours later I was home and miserable.
Friday started out ok. No commitments but by afternoon the pain had immobilized* me. I wanted to visit urgent care but didn’t think I could make it. I took some ibuprofen in order to feel well enough to go but ended up feeling well enough to procrastinate it another day.
I went in yesterday and while I was waiting I saw this poster which showed exactly where I hurt. It surprised me so I took a picture of it. I got some antibiotics and I’m already feeling much better. I am so grateful for antibiotics.______________________

100% bad copy
This label reads “100% Apple Juice from concentrate with added ingredient” which makes me very suspicious of this “added ingredient” what kind of cancer-causing preservative have they mixed in that needs to hide behind such a vague label?
It turns out the mystery ingredient is ascorbic acid or Vitamin C.
On what planet does is what they chose better than “100% Apple Juice from concentrate with added vitamin C”?
